Hary Tanoesoedibjo showed a great speed of political career in a short time. he started by joining Nasdem Party in August 2011. This party was founded by Surya Paloh. It was reported that they had known each other for a long time and planned to build this party. Then because of the difference in ideas and visions, Hary decided to leave the party in February 2013 and joined Hanura, which founded by Wiranto. With his new party, he then declared himself as Vice President to accompany Wiranto as the candidate of president. As tthe votes the party collected were not significant, they were not able to join the election.
Hary is working not only for business but also for social movement. He has been involved in various charity activities and has donated much money to poor people in Indonesia.
